The transport industry, is one of the key industries in the economy of Lithuania (generating more than 11% of GDP, 2.6 times the EU average) and the economy of Belarus. As for the importance of the transport industry to the Podlaskie region and to Bialystok itself, it is closer to the values of neighboring countries than to those of other Polish regions.
In recent years, it can be observed that more and more transport companies from Lithuania and Belarus are either establishing their branches in Poland or moving their headquarters here.
This is very beneficial for the Podlaskie Voivodeship, because apart from the Lubelskie Voivodeship (Małaszewicze, Brest/Terespol) and Mazovia (the capital), it is the largest beneficiary of such transfers. And it is in Bialystok and neighboring municipalities that a portion of the taxes paid (CIT, VAT, taxes on means of transportation) from the GDP generated is left behind.
At the same time, these companies, when entering the Polish market, have to contend with all the difficulties that affect companies with a local pedigree, i.e. the downturn, the decline in rates, the additional burden of the mobility package being implemented.
They are also experiencing difficulties due to cultural and language differences, as well as challenges in finding reliable service providers, i.e. accounting, human resources, etc.
Warszawska 6 Sp. z o.o., which began its operations in 2011 as a coworking office, launched coworking for the transportation industry in newly renovated premises at its headquarters at the end of March 2024.
Heads of transportation companies who would like to use the coworking space at Warszawska 6 Street in Bialystok or place their freight forwarder or office workers here can do so by purchasing an additional package at a price of 650 PLN net per month.
